Our Laboratory Quality Management (LQM) and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) courses, offered by POLQM, will be open for registration in September! Both courses will begin in January 2025. You can find more details on the POLQM website. (LQM Course | AST Course) In the meantime, here are some testimonials about our courses from recent participants:

LQM Course

I’ve learnt a lots of tools for risk Management, Quality Indicators, Quality Principles and Strategic Planning, etc. These help me better understand the Lab Quality Management. They are very helpful for me in my new role of being a Technical Coordinator. I would definitely apply all these in my job.

It actually changed the way I see errors in the laboratory.

AST Course

“I learned a lot from this course, a big one is how different the world of Microbiology is between labs! I wasn’t aware of several of the resistance detection tests that were discussed. I also learned about how breakpoint guidelines are set and how many factors can impact our susceptibility testing results (and how important it is to standardize those as much as possible). Antifungal susceptibility testing has been something I haven’t had to do in my career, so I learned a lot from that module as well.”

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to all participants (students and instructors) for their valuable contributions and enriching discussions throughout this course. It was truly enlightening to see the different viewpoints each of you brought forward, giving us a peek into the diverse methods and procedures employed in various microbiology labs. One of the most profound takeaways for me was realizing the vast discrepancies that exist within the realm of Microbiology from one lab to another. This course served as an eye-opener, uncovering the subtle differences and complexities that define microbial science, ultimately expanding my understanding of this dynamic field.”

“It has been a great honor and privilege to have been able to attend this course. Everything I learnt was new information to me as I am not a laboratorian. Some of the concepts were hard and difficult for me to immediately conceptualize but it was incredibly interesting and fun.“
