Peritoneal fluid: Candida glabrata– Shipped August 2012

HISTORY

The challenge was sent to category A laboratories. The sample was a simulated peritoneal fluid obtained from a 38 year old diabetic patient with renal failure.

Laboratories were expected to isolate, identify, and report Candida glabrata.

MAIN EDUCATIONAL POINTS from M122-5
