CSF: Neisseria meningitidis – Shipped May 2011

HISTORY

This challenge was sent to category A laboratories. It was expected participants would isolate and identify Neisseria meningitidis, report to Public Health, and perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing.

The sample was a simulated cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) obtained from a 14 year old male hockey player with rash and fever.
