Gram – Wound: PMNs and gram negative bacilli + gram positive cocci – Shipped May 2011

HISTORY

The challenge was sent to category A, B, C, and C1 laboratories. The sample was a simulated infected cat bite wound from a veterinarian assistant. Participants were expected to report the presence of PMNs, gram negative bacilli, and gram positive cocci. There were no epithelial cells in the sample.
