UBC Course in Laboratory Quality Management

The UBC course in Laboratory Quality Management is offered by CMPT’s sister program POLQM (Program Office for Laboratory Quality Management)

The course is designed to provide knowledge, discussion, and expertise for those interested in Quality Management for clinical and research laboratories.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?

The course is highly valuable for those who are or intend to be laboratory quality managers, and for those that work with quality management issues. This course is appropriate for technologists, physicians, administrators, and other laboratory professionals.

COURSE FORMAT

The Laboratory Quality Management course is offered completely on-line during a period of 21-weeks. The course is designed to provide knowledge, discussion, and expertise for those interested in Quality Management for clinical and research laboratories.

The course requires a time commitment of approximately 10 hours per week (reading, discussion, and assignments.)

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

The following organizations will grant continuing education credits to members who successfully complete this course and receive proof of certification:

  • Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Continuing Education Credits (MOCOMP)
