Urine: Candida albicans – Shipped 14 September 2015

HISTORY

This challenge was sent as a simulated urine sample. Laboratories were expected to isolate and identify Candida albicans. It was expected that those laboratories with the ability to perform susceptibility testing would do it and report results.

  • Candiduria is a problem seen increasingly in hospitalized patients.
